iKey also manufacture a range of devices to reduce the risk of failure in hazardous areas. The intrinsically safe DU-5K-IS is designed to meet NEMA 4X specifications, which means that the keyboard is resistant to dirt, dust, water, ice and corrosive liquids.

The DU-5K-IS features 116-key functionality, including 24 function keys which provide the user greater usability. 

This intrinsically safe keyboard has a Factory Mutual approval for Class I, II and III, Division I, Groups C, D, E, F and G. The DU-5K-IS includes optical isolated barriers and bulkhead cables for complete protection in hazardous locations.

An upgraded HulaPoint II™ pointing device is integrated into the DU-5K-IS, which offers improved sensitivity and increased durability. This also saves vital space as it removes the need for a separate mouse function.
